Every new garden design is individually created by our designer and is personal to the owner. Projects range from small contemporary courtyard gardens to large country houses and parks.

Working with our garden designer will help you achieve the results you want. You may only be thinking of developing your garden and need to consult a designer for ideas or you may be committed to redesigning your whole garden and need the full service. Organic by Design offers a full range of design options so you can chose which suits you.

Garden Design:

• Consultancy meeting: At this meeting ideas and requirements for your garden will be discussed. The use, style, features, plants and colours you like will be noted. These will be drawn up into a client brief.
  
  
• Survey: If you accept the client brief a site survey will be arranged. During the survey the garden will be mapped and details of soil type, aspect, views, architectural features, building materials and local styles will be taken. The essential character of the site will emerge.
  
  
• Design: The design will grow from your own desires and the potential of the site. Drawing on tradition, ecology and contemporary ideas, both aesthetic and practical solutions will be sought. Different ideas may be worked through, with the opportunity for client input, before reaching the final design.
  
  
• Presentation: The finished design will be presented to the client with full details of all stages for contractors.
  
  
• Landscaping: The design can be used to obtain quotes from contractors. Landscaping materials will be chosen for quality, aesthetic and association with the site. This work can be overseen by the client or the designer.
  
  
• Planting: The planting will reflect the ecology of the site and the character of the garden in a naturalistic style anchored by the landscaping. A planting plan will be produced listing plant species and quantities.
